Sabaton is a power metal band from Falun, Sweden and was founded in 1999 by lead vocalist Joakim "Jocke" Brodén and bassist Par Sundström. Most of their songs are written about historical events such as war or heroism. The rest of Sabaton's lineup features: guitarist Tommy Johansson, guitarist Chris Rörland and drummer Hannes Van Dahl. Sabaton's newest song is "Livgardet". The song is a tribute to the Swedish regiment Livgardet (Life Guards), which is marking its 500 year anniversary as a military unit, making it one of the world's longest serving military units.
Sabaton actually released two video versions of "Livgardet". One sung in Swedish with English captions that features members of the band dressed in historical military uniforms, and a lyric version also sung in Swedish. The two videos can be be seen on YouTube at the links below:
